The latest edition of Unblushed (a video series that’s already viral on the web) features acclaimed actor Radhika Apte. The video opens with Radhika going through some books, finds an old photo of her as a kid. She goes on to narrate what she would have done if she met young Radhika, what she would ask her to be or not to be.
The video further breaks the stereotype of how a society wants a girl to look, act and behave. It questions what is ‘normal’ or ‘acceptable’ for an Indian woman. What is a ‘normal’ body, what is an ‘acceptable’ decibel of laughter, what is ‘girl-like’ behaviour.
The video leaves you with a beautiful thought on why it’s important to be you and not getting bogged down by the society’s norm or notions.
